Our Happy Family
I love the life we lead now, my husband John, David, our son, and I. While I stay at home with David, John works as a restaurant manager. Weekends are best because we get to spend family time together, which is what we all enjoy most.
Granted, you may say that having an illustrious career or a ton of money can bring happiness, but as far as I can see, family life, love, and parenting are a far greater source of happiness. That’s why I started this website; to remind people how great it is to be alive and be part of family life.
How John and I Met
Cooking has always been one of my passions, and it comes as no surprise that I met the love of my life at a culinary arts class. After all, I firmly believe that if you follow your heart, happiness will find you, you don’t even have to look for it. Anyway, that night at the cookery class when our eyes met for the first time, our lives changed forever. When you fall in love, you become part of a unit, which is perhaps the most enriching and supportive thing in life. Suddenly, you’re no longer on your own. Instead, you can rely on your partner and jointly take on whatever challenges life throws at you.
From the first time we set eyes on each other, I knew he was the one. My friends were also very supportive of my new-found relationship and were giving me advice and tips as and when I needed them. They have all had very successful relationships, and hinted that spending quality time together, watching something like the videos on sites like Tube v Sex to get in the mood for the bedroom, and having honest conversations are key to establishing a strong relationship. And while I haven’t tried all of them, what we have tried, has helped immensely.
John shares my passion for food and cooking and we’ll always pursue this art. As a restaurant manager, John excels, while I cook at home and share my recipes with family and friends. Through this website, I want to share them with you, and hope that you’ll embrace the joys of preparing and eating food as much as we do -especially cooking for family and friends and having meals together.
The Importance of Love
During my childhood, my parents instilled a strong sense of right and wrong, emphasizing the importance of kindness and respect toward anyone you meet. While this may seem quite trivial on the surface, love and kindness do need to be at the heart of who you are and what you do. That’s my belief anyway, and I am grateful to my parents for teaching us the importance of love, respect, and kindness. That’s not to say that we never fought or that our house was free from conflict. On the contrary, we had just as many arguments as the next family. Perhaps that’s another great thing about family life; you can go from being at loggerheads to hugging it out within minutes, with no questions asked. Disagreements develop, only to fade and vanish later.
When I look at my son David, I want him to understand, first and foremost, that love and happiness within the family are the most precious things in life. I also want him to grasp the idea that you need to invest time and energy in relationships, just like you work at mastering skills and excelling at your work.
Love is easy, but then again, it’s difficult, and we all have to work at it. And when we do, we reap the rewards – happiness and joy.
The Importance of Food
Good food and cooking are equally close to my heart because I’ve seen what impact food can have. Apart from the importance of simple pleasures like having a family meal, what foods you eat truly shapes not just your body but also your overall well-being. When you eat healthy, nutritious food, you cope much better in stressful situations.
I’ve seen countless people change their diet and discover that they were much happier because of the changes. Never underestimate the importance of food and the major impact it has on your overall health, physical, mental, and emotional.
The Joys of Preparing and Eating Delicious Foods
Though John and I studied culinary arts, I can assure you that the recipes you’ll find on this website are suitable for everyone. Just follow the steps, keep an eye on the quantities, cooking temperature, and cooking times, and, within a short space of time, you’ll be enjoying a delicious, healthy, home-cooked meal. It’s not rocket science!
